Receiving Access

Upon purchasing a service from Iris Webs you will be contacted to book an appointment to receive your help. We can normally help you within the hour - but during busy times it may be a little later. Also, you may not want us to access your computer so soon and may wish to book another day for an appointment.


Our BASIC & CLEAN services take less than an hour to complete, whilst our VIRUS service is a little less predictable and can run into 2 or 3 hours in severe cases. So please take this into consideration when putting time aside.


In order to receive remote desktop access and allow an Iris Webs representative to gain control of your computer, you must follow these steps.


1) Visit http://www.teamviewer.com


2) On the TeamViewer page, click the 'Join a Session' link

3) You will then be prompted to Run or Save a file (depending on which browser you use). If you are able to select Run immediately, then click that now. If at first you must Save the file - then do so and double click it to Run it afterwards.

4) You will now see a TeamViewer window which informs you of your ID & Password as shown below.

Please inform your Iris Webs representative of the ID & Password. Depending on the arrangements made when we make the initial contact, this will either be over the phone, by text or on the Live Chat messenger.


Note: The password changes each time you request access - and so when TeamViewer is closed, the representative will not be able to access your computer again until you repeat the above process. Even though we will be controlling your computer - you can override us and kick us out at any time!
